I have been quiet again 🤦🏼‍♂️🙈😂. I’ve contacted geek retreat. Seems like I need £50000 of my own capital to open up a franchise. Do you know what that means??? Bollocks to thier model!!!! I’ll build my own up and hope for the best. It’s a great idea with geek retreat. Its solely tabletop/console games and cafe. Where as, I like to expand on this and explore the world of manga. Being able to sell manga would be as good as selling and playing the games together.  Real introverts den. Irony in that, opening a business up for introverts to come and never visit!!!

I am going to start up a wee games night once a month to do my research within the area. See how popular this once a month games night becomes. Found a hall that I can hire for 3 hours on a Monday. I need to confirm times latest to finish etc. Once those details are confirmed. Book an evenings. Advertise it and see how it goes for 12 months.

Next thing, I have found the perfect venue for my idea. Slight issue, it’s up for sale. Not the end of the world. With a bit of luck I can either:

Lastly, win the lottery to purchase the venue!!! Slim chance option!!!

It’s ideal, as I have sooo much ideas for this hangout cafe, the space is perfect!!!

I have managed to contact the distributors with regards to stock. That won’t be an issue in the slightest. Manga, £500 monthly subscription, other are discounts and amounts at once it’s all set up.

If the games night meet up becomes a great start up, it shall become something. Remember, I’m trying this with no money, and seeing where it’ll take me. So far, my expense is £20 for 3 hours. I’ll start off with that. Unsure if people turn up. Wouldn’t want to sit in a hall playing solitaire any longer than 3 hours, that’s for sure. If it becomes a handful of people, happy days. Onto a right winner. If there is more than I can handle. Well…. fuck. I’ll have to find new venue get pricing and figure a better way to host it for sure!! That’s me planning ahead.

To help fund this also, come up with an idea of printing full scale of characters. It’s going to take a long time. I good year to print my first one and paint it. With no issues of course 👀👀👀. I’ve learnt how to scale characters, cut them down to allow myself to print individual part, to stick back together. It’s like making your own jigsaw puzzle. Not an easy task. The files are ready, waiting for a lamp to be printed. Let the year commence!!!

Since I have come up with this, I have done alot of research, into geek retreat. Great idea, just not for me. Venues to see how well this idea would go down. One response out of 2. Better than none. Finding companies for all this to happen, biggest challenge, once they have been found. It’s a matter of asking them if they will accept new businesses or trading for some time.

Next step is to find out how to find onwer of buildings, or approach how to gain a lease of it and how much it would  etc. followed by hosting a games evening. All ages rulles and safety shit that goes along with it. Hopefully, I shall be able to give an update sooner rather than later on how that has gone on and further progress that I have made.
