There here!!!

There’s nothing quite like bringing a little bit of greenery into your home. But as much as we love plants, they can tend to be an expensive hobby. That’s why I’ve been trying something new: growing plants from seeds. And let me tell you, it’s been an absolute joyride.

Sure, my initial plan wasn’t to install a greenhouse in my flat to grow plants. But as fate would have it, I stumbled upon Quinta dos Ouriques Italy on eBay, a store that sells rare plant seeds from around the world. And wow, they really know their stuff. Not only did I receive a cheeky 15% off discount on their site, but they also provided me with a login and code to help me learn the ins and outs of germinating the seeds I purchased.

Now, as someone who isn’t living paycheck to paycheck, I decided to purchase a few indoor plants on sale (because who doesn’t love a good bargain?). But the real magic happened when I started growing my own plants from seeds. And let me tell you, it’s been an absolute blast.

I’ve got an Aloe Vera plant that’s surprisingly easy to maintain (despite my initial false assumptions), and it’s been great to have it sitting on my windowsill (although I did learn that they can get sunburnt – whoops). I’ve also added a snake plant and a monstera monkey leaf plant to my collection, each requiring a different level of care, but all thriving under my watchful eye.

As someone working long hours, it can be hard to find time for self-care. But I make sure to give my plants some TLC every day, even if it’s just for a couple of minutes. I check on the soil, the leaves, and make sure the seeds are properly moistened. It’s a welcome respite from the day-to-day hustle and bustle, and it’s rewarding to watch these little sprouts grow into mature, thriving plants.

And who knows? Maybe one day I’ll even be able to germinate my iboga seeds. Fingers crossed!
